The best season for travel to Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is located close to the equator. It has a tropical climate and plenty of rainfall.
The island enjoys two main monsoon seasons. There is the rainy season in the west and southern areas from May to August in Sri Lanka.
The dry season for these areas is from December to March. From October to January the North and East get more rain. The dry season for those zones is from May to September.
Any time during the year you can enjoy the sunny beaches and calm sea in different parts of the island. The average temperature is 25-30C in the beach.
If you go to Kandy or Nuwala Eliya you will enjoy the cold climate of Sri Lanka.
The average rainfall is 3000-4000mm and 1000mm in the dry zone. Whenever you travel there you will see green colour all over the year.
